Pink Baseball Present

Organizing Committee for World University Baseball Championship announced today as a part of IBAF's campaign in support of female specific issues to give away Pink Baseballs to the first 2,000 female and children to the Semi Final at Yokohoma Stadium on August 5 and Bronze Medal and Gold Medal games at Meiji Jingu Stadium in Tokyo on August 7.


The same pink balls will be presented to the 200 or more children of 11 and 12 years old from 23 countries at the closing ceremony of 20th World Children's Baseball Foundation's Fair in Tokyo on August 5. IBAF President Fraccari will deliver speech at the ceremony.


The Pink Baseball Project has been launched with the aim of helping women to deal with female specific issues. The sales out of this project should be donated to an charity or a hospital associated with women.
IBAF provides all National Federations the opportunity to be involved with this project and IBAF gives away Pink Balls for your federation to use for own program in your country.
Approximately 5,000 Pink Baseballs were sold at the 2008 Women's World Cup in Matsuyama, Japan and the revenues gained were donated to the Japanese Red Cross Society.
